Early Career Group

The BGA Early Career Group (ECG) is a group for professionals that focuses on the interests of students, graduates and recently professionally qualified members, incorporating those with up to 10 years experience in the field. There are currently two hubs for the ECG, London hub and the newly formed South West hub.

The ECG provides an opportunity for training, knowledge sharing, debate, and networking. The group aspires to build a strong network between its members and the wider geotechnical engineering community, and to represent the views of early career members to the BGA. Each ECG hub aims to hold 4-5 events every year, including our chartership professional review event, a must for anyone aspiring to acquire chartership with the Institution of Civil Engineers.

ECG events and activities are publicised through our mailing list, to sign up visit our Membership page. There is no additional charge for BGA members to join the ECG.
